How to Fail in Comics Sometimes

9:30 - 10:30am, Thurman Center Stage

MICE and other festivals bring people together to celebrate the creation of comics as inspirations cover to cover. While we focus on the successes, the setbacks, false starts, abandoned concepts, and personal struggles can all be forgotten. So what about failure? In this professional development session, we uncover the sticky process of creation and maintaining a career in the arts.

Moderator: Shelli Paroline

Panelists: Carey Pietsch, R. Sikoryak, Breena Nuñez, Zachary Clemente
