MICE is proud to be a safe space, free from harassment of any nature for all participants. Harassment includes offensive verbal comments related to race, gender, sexual orientation, body size, disability, appearance, and religion, deliberate intimidation, stalking, harassing photography or recording, sustained disruption of talks or other events, inappropriate physical contact and unwelcome sexual attention.

 

Attendees, Exhibitors, and Staff are all subject to our anti-harassment policy. If a person engages in harassing behavior, we will take the appropriate action, up to and including removal from the show space for the entirety of the weekend. If you are being harassed, witness someone else being harassed, or have any concerns, please seek out a MICE staff member – identifiable by yellow “Staff” shirts and MICE-themed bandannas. You may also report the incident online using our MICE Incident Reporting Form. All incidents reported will be kept strictly confidential and will be reviewed by MICE Staff Organizers with Boston Area Rape Crisis Center (BARCC) Active Bystander Training. We will address each situation brought to our attention individually to the best of our ability.

 

Our goal is for MICE to be a positive comics experience for all; allowing any people of any age or background to have a great time. All participants of the show (attendees, exhibitors, and staff) are subject to this anti-harassment policy while at MICE or any MICE-sponsored events.
