The Massachusetts Independent Comics Expo (MICE) is New England’s premier independent comics event focused on celebrating comics as a creative medium and expressive art form. Produced by the Boston Comic Arts Foundation, a non-profit arts organization, MICE has always been free to attend with the purpose of creating an inclusive and accessible weekend for anyone and everyone interested in comics.
MICE is proud to be hosted by the Boston University School of Visual Arts and Art Galleries. Our exhibition area showcases new and exciting comics work from local creators and beyond to an eager audience. To further our mission of celebrating comics as a powerful storytelling art form, MICE runs hands-on workshops for cartoonists of all ages and skill levels, engaging panel discussions on the craft and creation of comics, and features acclaimed special guests from around the world.
Who is MICE for?
MICE welcomes any and all who are interested in reading comics, making comics, or even just learning more about them. The free to attend weekend event hosts comics makers excited to share their work, hands-on workshops for artists of all skill levels and ages, unique panel discussions, and more.
