Liz Prince is a local cartoonist known for her charming diary comics that share her experience in and out of relationships and the awkwardness of her adolescence, all with humor and honesty. Her autobio comic collections include Alone Forever(Top Shelf, 2014), Tomboy: A Graphic Memoir (Zest Books, 2014) named one of Kirkus Review’s best books of 2014, and Will You Still Love Me If I Wet the Bed? (Top Shelf, 2005) which received the Ignatz for Outstanding Debut in 2005. Liz has written and drawn comics for all of your favorite Cartoon Network shows, and is the creator and writer of the new BOOM!Box series about paranormal punk rock, Coady and the Creepies, a collection of which will be debuting at MICE! Currently, Liz is also a contributor to the punk magazine Razorcake, and draws album covers for assorted bands.
Liz will appear in MICE’s Atrium exhibition area on October 21-22, 2017 at University Hall (1815 Massachusetts Ave., Cambridge, MA). MICE is free and open to the public.
Liz will be a panelist for Making Comics (When Everything Sucks) on Sunday, October 22 at 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM in the Amphitheater (2nd Floor, University Hall).
